Reliance JioPhone 2: Jio website suffers an outage as smart feature goes on sale

Reliance JioPhone 2 is the new smart feature phone with 4G LTE connectivity. The successor to JioPhone went on sale today at 12PM on Jio.com.

Reliance JioPhone 2: Full specifications
Priced at ₹2,999, Reliance JioPhone 2 has a 6.09cm (2.4 inch) TFT display with QVGA (320x 240 pixels) resolution. While the screen size hasn't changed, it now supports landscape mode for improved multimedia experience.

Running on KaiOS, JioPhone 2 relies on a 1GHz dual-core processor (chipset unspecified) along with 512MB of RAM for performance. It has 4GB ROM and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

Reliance JioPhone 2: Data plans
Reliance JioPhones come with three data plans. Under ₹49 plan, Reliance Jio offers 1GB of data with 28 days of validity. This also includes unlimited data, subscription to Jio applications, and free video calls. Under ₹99 and ₹153 plans, Reliance Jio offers 14GB of data and 42GB of data respectively. Both the plans have 28 days of validity.
