Credible tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks who has a rather reliable track record in the past, is now suggesting that Samsung is prepping to launch the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge along with the S7 Edge+ simultaneously on the same day. He added that the launch of the flagship trio is expected to take place at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC) in Barcelona.
This is slightly contrary to earlier reports that indicated two separate launches in 2015.
As far as specifications are concerned, it seems all three smartphones will feature more or less the same innards apart from the display. Rumours so far suggest that all three variants are expected to get a QHD display, while WSJ also reported that the smartphone will also feature a pressure sensitive screen similar to Apple’s 3D Touch display.
In terms of design, the forthcoming Galaxy S7 will be ‘largely similar’ to its predecessor though is expected to incorporate new features such as the next-gen USB Type C. Moreover, there’s also a possibility that a Retina scanner might be added to ‘some version’ of the Galaxy S7.
