Dating app Tinder is preparing to announce a major change to its algorithm in the coming days, its CEO indicated at the Web Summit in Ireland.

According to the tech website, Tinder CEO and founder Sean Rad said that the change -- the most significant to its algorithm yet -- was hoped to boost connections made on the app by 30%.
Rad noted a desire to promote “deeper connections” in light of the large volume of people using the service.
Tinder currently sees 1.6 billion swipes and 26 million matches per day.
