SpeakToIt Assistant
iOS or Android has always been the brunt of arguments. Thus it was imperative that we'd look up for worthy alternatives to iOS5's Siri, the virtual assistant, called “Speaktoit assistant”.

A lot of people, especially the Android users have been very curious about the new iPhone 4S’ Siri
feature. Thus enters “Speaktoit Assistant”. This Android app does a lot of things that Siri has to offer, but can it really match up to Siri?

While I can’t say I’m too big on these voice activated personal assistants, I received enough feedback from this app that I figured it was worth featuring. The app works very much in the same way as the popular iPhone app, Siri, in that you speak to your phone in a natural way and magically, it knows the context of what you are saying.

While I can’t say I’m too big on these voice activated personal assistants, I received enough feedback from this app that I figured it was worth featuring. The app works very much in the same way as the popular iPhone app, Siri, in that you speak to your phone in a natural way and magically, it knows the context of what you are saying. It will send posts to Facebook and Twitter, send emails and texts, check you in places, look up weather, call people, take notes, add things to your calendar, look up information, translate foreign languages, find news, check the traffic and so much more. Even the avatar is fully customizable allowing you to change his/her look to something like a hardcore punker chick or hot Asian librarian (I wont judge). Although I will say, the app’s female Steven Hawking type voice was anything but arousing.

Is Speaktoit much different to Siri? Kind of. The app basically has quite a way to go because it can catch up with Siri. Nonetheless, it surely is the best alternative currently available in the Android Market.
