US Open had just begun (29th August) with Round 1 and we get you the official app from where you can catch all the happenings and breaking news from your iOS device. Works well with iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. This is app is brought to you by Unites States Tennis Association, IBM and American
Express. The US Grand Slam includes Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

With Push Notifications catch all the LIVE scoring updates and complete match results form anywhere, as the action happens. Catch Videos form Opening Ceremony, matches held earlier, and also post match interviews with the players. Videos on-demand is the highlight where Live streaming you can catch the Finals Weekends.

If checking post scores and videos is not enough for you then you can check the latest update of Radio with USOpen.org courtesy American Express which will feature Live streaming ball-by-ball coverage featuring Courtside Q&A - a live, interactive Q&A with match commentators featuring user submitted questions via Twitter. To use twitter is in-built within the app where you can simply signing in to your twitter account and replying with the hashtag #UsOpenRadio. If you don't had a Twitter account then you can also email a reply through the Radio section.

Schedule section is real time updated so that you can be updated with the latest scores and the Draws.

Photos section shares images from the latest matches played. Would love to see more images added match-by-match and even could include some of the most loved images from past players.

Foursquare is a add-on in the 'social' section where you can check-in with buddies at the venue USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Catch the tips from the venue. Not clear whats the use of this really but we hope the 'mayor' gets at least a free drink.

Augmented Reality: Camera driven experience that allows the user to 'see through walls' at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Players Bio is a section where you can know more of your favorite players and also switch on notifications to 'keep me posted' on latest updates on a  particular player.

‘Visiting the Open’ presented by American Express: A fan’s guide to the US Open, featuring an interactive map of the grounds, onsite American Express Card member benefits and other great spectator info.

Fans can send a link to this app to their friends via email.

Overall, this is a great keep for a free app for all tennis fans out there to be posted on all happenings at the current US Open championship without been able to watch a single match on Television.
