Developer Zindagi Games is back with six new motion-based sports games — bowling, boxing, archery, skiing, golf and tennis. Sports Champions boasts of perhaps the best representation of bowling seen in motioncontrolled games yet. It isn’t quite as deep as High Velocity Bowling, but its accuracy, precision and ability to pick up spin are unmatched.

Boxing works surprisingly well, especially with two move controllers, allowing you to throw different kinds of punches as well as block and parry attacks.

Archery is the only sport to return from the first game, but there are more moving targets, as well as new score and memory-based challenges. Skiing is perhaps the weakest of the bunch, purely because you don’t seem to have too much control over movement, making it feel a tad unresponsive.

Golf isn’t as deep as the Tiger Woods games. It works fine as long as you can follow the rules. Table tennis was the highlight of Sports Champions, but it loses out to
tennis this time around. The camera angle is too low and strokeplay doesn’t seem too accurate or precise.

Verdict: All in all, Sports Champions 2 is a fun sports game compilation for Move, but the sublime table tennis from the first game is sorely missed.
