Temple Run has finally been released for Android, and here is why gaming will never stay the same for the platform.
Imangi Studios finally released their superhit Temple Run game for the Android platform. One of iOS's most popular games, Temple Run finally came to Android on March 27th and this author since then has not been able to work anything else, but play Temple Run on his Galaxy S2 (That explains the delay
in this story as well!).

In Temple Run, you play as a member of an archaeology team excavating an old temple for treasure. You find the gold idol and now you have to take it and escape the temple from evil demon monkeys chasing you. The gesture-based game enacts this chase and is a test of your reflexes. You avoid obstacles and collect coins to unlock boosts and characters. And the developer has done a fantastic job of maintaining the experience from iOS. The feels and plays exactly like it does on iOS. No difference.

If you have been reading my posts about Android here, you already know how I am huge proponent for the "Coming of Age" for Android. Over the years, Android has steadily picked up more users and is growing into a mature marketplace. It has its quirks, but it moving along the right direction real fast. With many popular iOS apps and games coming to Androdi as well, the gap between the two ecosystems is closing up and soon it will be only about fragmentation and performance - exciting days!

Fancy this, within 3 days of its release Temple Run has already had about a million downloads from the Play store. I am next looking forward to Instagram for Android now.

Review: Toshiba Kirabook

Last year, Apple added a visually stunning option to its MacBooks: screens with ultra-high resolution. These "Retina" displays reveal four times as much detail as any Windows laptop screen until now. Toshiba just released a new laptop line with a Retina-level display.
