Rumours of a Google Nexus tablet have been doing the rounds for a long time, but a new report confirms that Google is all set to release a 7-inch tablet in July. Co-developed with Asustek computer, “Google is set to start shipping in June with initial shipments to reach about 600,000
units. The machine will be officially released in the market in July, according to sources from the upstream supply chain", reports Digitimes.com.

The report comes just a few months after Google chairman Eric Schmidt told an Italian publication that the company would ship an Android-powered tablet within the next six months.

Seems like Amazon Kindle Fire and Apple iPad will be jostling for space with yet another tablet soon.
