Samsung has unveiled the second generation of its Series 9 notebook in the Indian market. Touted as the world's thinnest laptop, the new series 9 device comes with a hefty price tag of Rs. 1.2 lakhs.

With only 12.9mm thickens and 1.16kg weight, the super-slim laptop takes away the
'thinnest laptop' crown from Toshiba Protege Z830. According to Samsung, the Series 9 required 9,000 hours of design work and 24,000 hours of R&D.

The latest series of laptops is powered by an Intel Core i7 3517U CPU running at 1.9GHz with 4MB of L3 cache and 4GB or DDR3 RAM.

It has a 13.3-inch HD, LED backlit screen at a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and you have on-board Intel HD Graphics 4000 for powering the visuals.

Samsung unveils new Series 5, 7 touchscreen PCs

Samsung seems to have opted for speed over storage as this notebook comes with only a 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

Along with this, Samsung also launched the Series 5 550P notebook range. The 15-inch model in this series is priced at Rs. 62,990.
