Google pays homage to photographer Robert Doisneau

Google logo has turned into a montage of black and white photos as a tribute to French street photographer Robert Doisneau on his 100 birth anniversary. Doisneau is famous for the iconic photo Kiss by the Hôtel de Ville.

Taken in 1950, the pic shows a couple kissing in the busy streets of Paris. It appeared in Life and became an international symbol of young love in Paris.

Known as the pioneer of photojournalism, he also won prestigious awards such as the Balzac Prize, Grand Prix National de la Photographie, Niépce Prize and the Kodak Prize.
Google's doodle shows the letters of 'Google' appearing in photos taken by Doisneau. The letter G appears in 'boy on a bike' photo, the double Os appear in the photo of a sculpture of a woman, lower part of second G is seen in the toy dog photo and letters L and E appear in the iconic Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville.
