The Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 game's release date places it a month ahead of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" at the cinema. Publisher Namco Bandai and
developer Digital Extremes -- which is known for "The Darkness II" in 2012 and the "BioShock 2" multiplayer mode in 2010 -- also confirmed that award-winning writer Marianne Krawczyk would be behind the video game's storyline; Krawczyk has been recognized for her work on the "God of War" series.
