Software giant Apple has reportedly laid out new rules for developers making apps for children under 13.
The newly introduced apps for children under 13 are also required not to categorically include behavioural advertising and any contextual ads presented in the app must be appropriate for kids.
Additionally, the apps in the Kids Category must be made specifically for kids ages 5 and under, ages 6-8, or ages 9-11.
However, the company has not set guidelines on how children's app developers might use analytics tools to gather information on what their young users are doing.
The new category was announced at Apple's WWDC conference in June and will be introduced on Apple's store as part of its new iOS 7 software this autumn, the report added.
