Internet Corporation Microsoft has reportedly fixed the bug which led to disruption of its 400 million user emailing service-Outlook.com and had some people locked out of their accounts.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Microsoft restored the service after more than seven hours when the disruption was first reported.
Microsoft said that some Outlook.com users trying to check email on mobile devices might still be encountering trouble that engineers are trying to clear up.
The report said that users also complained that they were unable to retrieve their files stored on Microsoft's SkyDrive service, but the problem was resolved later.
Microsoft cited 'unexplained incident' behind the breakdown, the report added.
