Internet and software behemoth Google could be planning to open a real-world retail store close to its Dublin headquarters according to rumors.
Rumors of Google's plans to open a retail store in Dublin began appearing on February 8, stemming from a Bloomberg report which unearthed a planning application submitted to Dublin City Council.
According to the report the application was approved on January 23 and suggests the opening of a Google store in Dublin's Montevetro office block which would be open to the public and sell "Google merchandise."
The rumors have spread around the internet and been featured on a number of tech-focused sites such as The Sociable.
If the rumors do prove to be true the Dublin outlet would be an extension to the Google stores selling computers currently in existence within some branches of UK electronic outlets Currys, PC World and Dixons.
