The release date for Apple's gorgeous new cylindrical Mac Pro was teased in a clip shown in US movie theaters over the weekend (August 16-19).
Apple's forthcoming Mac Pro has the appearance of a hollow cylinder and features next-generation Intel Xeon processors with up to 12
cores and dual workstation GPUs powered by AMD FirePro -- which will give it up to two and a half times faster graphics than the previous Mac Pro -- and it will be capable of driving three ultra-high-definition (4K) resolution displays at the same time.
Over the weekend prior to Monday, August 19, a teaser trailer for the Mac Pro was shown in US cinemas before various movies, reports MacRumors. The trailer, which was first shown at the WWDC event where the Mac Pro was revealed, shows the new device from several angles, and, according to reports on MacRumors, now ends with the line "Fall 2013."
This gives the first real indication of when the device will launch, although it is hardly something concrete; no pricing for the Mac Pro has yet been announced.
