Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan will receive the PlayStation 4 this December, despite a previously announced February 2014 date for Japan.
The five Southeast Asian regions will receive Sony's upcoming console not long after brethren in North America, Europe and Latin America, where the PS4 launches in November.
Launch titles for Asia include "Watch Dogs," "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," "Minecraft" and "Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends," while "Driveclub," "The Crew," "Killzone: Shadowfall," "Battlefield 4," "FIFA 14," "Knack" and "Lego Marvel Super Heroes" were shown in a trailer at a press conference on Wednesday.
Two other devices annouced at Japan's September 9 press conference will be making it outside of their home territory, sandwiching the PS4 release.
A slimmer version of the PlayStation Vita portable has been announced for this November (October 10 in Japan), while the Vita TV, a palm-sized set-top box that brings the PlayStation Vita's gaming and media streaming to TVs, will arrive in January 2014 (in Japan, November).
Sony is yet to provide prices and precise dates for the three machines.
