Actor Amitabh Bachchan , who has been associated with Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) since its inception in 2000, recently wrapped up the sixth season of the game show and while shooting the last episode, he said that there was “a feeling of great remorse”. The last episode will be telecast on Republic Day. “The season endeth here of KBC! A sadness prevails and there is a feeling of great remorse...,” Amitabh posted on his Facebook page on weekend.
Out of the six seasons, the 70-year-old actor has hosted all except for the third one, for which Shah Rukh Khan had slipped into the host’s chair, in 2007. “A feeling that cannot be described in words... it is the audience that comes so religiously and stays so calm and disciplined... thank you all ... I hope I can be back with you soon... love to all,” Big further wrote. KBC’s sixth season went on air on September 7 last year, and during the show, Kashmir-based Manoj Kumar Raina won R1 crore, while Mumbai-based home tutor Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney walked away with the bumper prize of R5 crore and became the first woman to win the big prize on the show so far.
