Madhubala-Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon is the story of love between two socially and financially different people Rishabh Mohan Kundra (Vivian Dsena) and Madhubala (Drashti Dhami). The recent turns of events in the serial have shown some extremely romantic scenes on the soap.

Avinash Rekhi will be the new entrant on the hit TV show Madhubala. He will play the role of a don called Sultan who is supposed to add some spice to the storyline.

Excited about the role, Avinash says, “I watched some gangster movies to understand the mannerisms of a don. I especially loved Agneepath (2012). I will be playing a gangster like Hrithik Roshan did. He also had a positive side to him.”

Avinash adds, “Sultan is an interesting character as his son is handicapped. He shows his softer side to his eight-year-old son, while being a hard and angry man with others. He is very aware of his position in life and the circumstances that surround it. He encourages his son and even helps him face various challenges well.”

Sultan will meet Madhubala (Drasti Dhami) and later impact RK’s (Vivian Dsena) life too.

Avinash, who was last seen in Chhal on Colors, was rumoured to have signed Ekta Kapoor’s show Jodha Akbar. But he denies the buzz saying, “It was just a rumour, I guess. I never signed the show but people called to ask me about it.”
