Sixteen-year-old Darsheel Safary and 12-year-old comedian Saloni Daini will be hosting the opening ceremony of the 18th Annual International Children’s Film Festival India in Hyderabad on November 14 .

"Darsheel and Saloni will welcome and introduce all the jury members and special guests like Gulzar and Ranbir Kapoor. They will also introduce the dance performances that are being put up at the show by children from different parts of the country," says an insider.

Saloni, who is known for her role as Gangubai (a fictitious character she often plays in her acts) will also be seen doing a jig with Ranbir Kapoor. Darsheel has hosted shows for children before, but this is the first time that he will be hosting a nearly two-hour-long ceremony  that is specially aimed at children. When asked, Amole Gupte, director, Children's Film Society India, says, “It is wonderful that we got Darsheel on board because he is the ambassador for children’s films in India. We’re also happy that Saloni will be a part of the ceremony.”
