The latest contestant to be evicted from the reality show Bigg Boss 7, Ratan Rajput, is still on edge. "It’s a difficult format. Right now, I need my family and a psychiatrist," she says, adding, "It feels good to be out, but I keep wondering if there are cameras behind every mirror and in every corner. The situations in the house were tougher than the people in it. Since people changed colours every day, trusting people got difficult. I couldn’t adapt to the format."
Apart from sitting in a tub full of cow-dung and participating in a shouting match with a fellow contestant Andy, she was not able to make a mark on the show.
Ratan feels she deserved to be evicted as "I wasn’t playing the game. It took me a fortnight to understand people. Others were quicker. I’d simply watch them, which worked against me. I should’ve never done the show in the first place."
She knows that many people, including her sister, will say ‘I told you so’, yet Ratan says, "I learnt a lot about myself in the house. I used to think I’m a strong person but now I know for a fact that my strength is my family."
Ratan is clear that she wouldn’t go in as a wild card at all. However, she adds that she doesn’t regret doing her other reality show, Swayamvar.
"That was about taking a personal decision for my life. Here, a fat pay cheque meant nothing to me as I had to go for days without proper meals. People gossiped if you ate one extra roti. It was my fault that I chose to do this show."
