Actor Siddharth Shukla may have been eliminated out of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, last week, but the 32-year-old doesn’t want to sit back upset. Instead he wants to enjoy the chance of a lifetime that he got by performing before some of the biggest names of Bollywood.
“Of course I am upset that I got eliminated but the two-and-a-half minutes of rapt attention that I got from Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D’Souza every time was my biggest gain. That’s what gave me the high. Earlier only I knew their names, now it feels great to think that they too know me,” says Shukla, who was one of the most popular contestants of the show on Colors, and was eliminated after a tough face-off with ace dancer Mukti Mohan. Does he think it was an unfairing pairing to pair her up with a non-dancer like him? “I would sound like a loser if I say so... so it’s okay, it happens but I am happy that I did hard work.”
Reacting to buzz that it was a mistake in step by his choreographer Mohena that cost him the elimination, Shukla says, “Such mistakes can happen with anyone so I don’t blame her... it’s okay.” On the show, KJo had praised Shukla several times saying that he is meant for the ‘bigger screen’. What does he feel? “Ofcourse, I’d love to do Bollywood,” he says. Any dream role? “Yes! Amitabh Bachchan’s role in Deewar... I’d love to do that if someone does a remake.”
