Jeevan wins ITF singles title

National champion Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan defeated unseeded Croatian rival Mate Pavic in straight sets to lift the CCI-ITF men's Futures tennis title on Saturday.

The 24-year-old from Tamil Nadu thrashed a nervous-looking Pavic 6-1 6-1 in just over an hour to win the top prize of USD 1950 and 27 ATP points.

Double for Deshmukh

Ipoh: Sahil Deshmukh bagged a double crown at the ITF Junior Grade 4 Tennis Tournament here in Malaysia on Saturday.

Deshmukh beat Uzbekistan's Karimov Djurabeck 6-4, 7-5 to grab the title and 40 ranking points. Later, he teamed up with Djurabeck to get the better of Indonesian duo of Nuradim Ramdani and Armando C. Soemarno 6-1, 2-6, 10-6 in the doubles final.
