Indian tennis star Sania Mirza continued her winning ways with Swiss partner Martina Hingis as the pair entered the semi-finals of the Wuhan Open WTA tournament on Thursday.

The top-seeded duo cruised past the fifth-seeded US team of Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears 6-2, 6-2 in their quarter-final encounter.

Mirza and Hingis had it relatively easy in the second round against the Polish-Australian pair of Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Anastasia Rodionova, winning 6-3, 6-2 after getting a first-round bye in the tournament, thanks to their top seeding.

The successful pair won their sixth title of the season at last week’s Guangzhou Open, adding to trophies at Wimbledon, the US Open, the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Masters 1000 titles at Miami and Indian Wells.
