3 separatists sent to 10-day NIA custody

A Delhi court on Tuesday sent Kashmiri separatist leaders Masrat Alam, Asiya Andrabi and Shabir Shah in 10-day National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody in a 2017 case of terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir. NIA special judge Rakesh Syal granted the 10-day custody even as the central anti-terror agency had sought 15 days for Alam, Andrabi and Shah’s custodial interrogation.

NIA charges Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi with anti-national activities

Asiya Andrabi acts chief of the proscribed terrorist outfit Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DEM), while Sofi Fehmeeda is her personal secretary and Nasreen is described as general secretary of the outfit.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday said it has formally charged Kashmiri separatist Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates - Sofi Fehmeeda and Naheeda Nasreen of anti-national activities through propaganda on social and other media platforms and inciting Kashmiri boys for armed and violent rebellion against India.(HT Photo)

NIA files FIR against Kashmiri separatist leader Asiya Andrabi

Kashmiri separatist leader Asiya Andrabi was booked for allegedly advocating secession of Jammu and Kashmir from the Union of India and calling for Jihad and use of violence against the country.

The FIR was registered on April 26 this year against Kashmiri separatist leader Asiya Andrabi and her associates, a senior NIA official said adding the accused are likely to be questioned by authorities soon.(File photo)

J-K court cancels bail granted to Asiya Andrabi, 4 others in terror-related case

The division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice M K Hanjura quashed the order of Aanantnag Additional Sessions Court, granting bail to Andrabi and four others last month.
