Minor siblings found dead at home in Gurdaspur, parents missing

A six-year-old girl and her three-year-old brother were found dead at their home in Kalanaur town of Gurdaspur district on Monday. Their parents are missing.

The incident took place in a house near Shiv Mandir. A neighbour, Ajmer Singh, told the cops that the children’s father, Harpal Singh, worked as a tailor, and their mother was Amanpreet Kaur

Batala BDPO arrested for taking 15,000 bribe

A VB spokesperson said the arrest of the BDPO was made following a complaint lodged by Happy Gill, a resident of Sekhwan village in Gurdaspur

Upon receiving the complaint, the Amritsar range VB conducted a preliminary investigation and subsequently laid a trap in which the BDPO was arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>15,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
