Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai will begin operations from a new 11-storey building next year, while Jaslok Hospital is undergoing expansion plans. The additional space will allow for the setup of state-of-the-art treatment facilities in order to compete with other private healthcare facilities in south Mumbai. The estimated cost of the new Breach Candy building is ₹300 crores and will feature an OPD, operation theatre, ICU, and patient wards. Jaslok Hospital is also revamping its facilities to improve patient movement and meet growing healthcare demands. Both hospitals will have separate parking facilities.

A 74-year-old brain dead donated his bones along with kidneys on Saturday evening at Jaslok Hospital. In January this year, a relative of a Spanish brain-dead woman had donated her bones. Before that, Mumbai saw a bone donation in August 2022 after a gap of three years.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made wearing masks compulsory in its hospitals due to a rise in the number of active COVID-19 cases in Mumbai. The BMC has also issued a mask advisory for senior citizens as a precautionary measure and recommended its employees to wear masks. Private hospitals have already made masks compulsory on their premises.
