In a welcome move ahead of next month's Indian Grand Prix, HRT announced that Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan will be back in the hot seat for Friday's practice session at next weekend's Singapore GP - his first outing in the car since he lost his race seat following the European Grand Prix.
Karthikeyan expressed happiness to get behind the wheel of an F1 car again, a move that will stand him in good stead ahead of the Indian GP.
"It's a great feeling to be driving on a Grand Prix weekend once again.
"On the subject of my home Grand Prix, the team had assured me that I'd be driving when I stepped out of my seat after the European GP," he said.
HRT Team Principal, Colin Kolles, said in a release: "It is great to have Narain back in the car as it will give him critical seat time before he drives at the Indian GP. He is the best driver to come out of the region and is undoubtedly extremely talented as he has proved through his progress this season."
Bangalore: Lewis Hamilton will be in the city for a promotional event on September 27 to enable Grand Prix motor racing fans have a personal interaction with him.
