Initially set to take place before the end of 2012, the closing of Paris's luxury Hotel de Crillon for refurbishment has been postponed to March 31, 2013, management revealed to Relaxnews, on Wednesday, October 17. The establishment will shut down for two years.

The whole buidling is to be refurbished, from the areas on the ground floor to the rooms and suites, as well as the restaurants. A spa will be added to the hotel's amenities during the renovations.

The Crillon is the latest of several Parisian luxury hotels that recently announced upcoming refurbishments that will require shutting down, joining the Ritz, for instance, which closed down this summer for a two-year refit.
