Highlight Story

Wondering where the film stars stay when they're in Cannes? With some help of hotel price comparison site Trivago, we've taken a look at some of the French town's hottest hotels and some of the high-profile guests that have crossed the threshold.

Hotel Martinez
A Cannes institution, the Martinez has played host to hordes of Hollywood A-listers, including Scarlett Johansson, Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, and Diane Kruger. The hotel's two-Michelin-star restaurant is also a draw.

Hotel Majestic Cannes Barriere
Arguably the most famous hotel on the French riviera, the Hôtel Majestic Cannes Barriére offers palatial surroundings overlooking La Croisette and the Mediterranean. Look out for famous faces in the beachfront Fouquet's brasserie -- Jude Law and Robert De Niro have both stayed here, and Shakira received a knighthood at the hotel earlier this year.

Inter Continental Carlton Cannes

You can't miss this hotel, its gleaming white facade bearing down on the Mediterranean. Its belle époque charm has earned it visits from celebrities for decades, including Alfred Hitchcock and Grace Kelly. Justin Bieber stayed earlier this year.

Five Hotel and Spa
This boutique property is one of Cannes's smaller hotels but doesn't lack the wow factor, thanks to a rooftop infinity pool and a private yacht available to charter that have made it popular with stars including Angelina Jolie.

JW Marriott Cannes

Lady Gaga has stayed at the JW Marriott, which boasts an impressive rooftop terrace and pool, a Panorama rooftop bar and a steakhouse. The terrace suite offers breathtaking sea views and a 49 square meter terrace.

Grand Hotel Cannes
This is the oldest hotel on the Croisette and has reportedly played host to the likes of Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino. The Michelin-starred Le Park 45 restaurant caters to guests' gastonomic desires.
