World’s first Grammy-themed cruise to set sail

Grammy-award winning and nominated singers like Shawn Colvin, Emmylou Harris and Estelle will be among the names to headline the world’s first Grammy-themed cruise, which will pay special homage to female music legends.

After first announcing the project last year, Norwegian Cruise Line has released more details on its Grammy Festival At Sea: Women Who Rock package, which will set sail this November.

In addition to performances by a roster of acts that includes Colvin, Harris, Estelle, Heart, Skylar Grey, Heart and the Indigo Girls, guests will also be privy to Q-and-A sessions and other activities hosted by female artistes. The five-day cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl departs Miami, Florida in November with ports of call to Grand Bahama Island and Nassau in the Bahamas.

Amenities on the cruise ship include an outdoor pool, hot tubs, spa and fitness centers, outdoor rock climbing wall, a bowling alley, and a casino.
Meanwhile, Carnival Cruise Lines has created music-themed packages headlined by blasts from the past such as Chicago, REO Speedwagon and Foreigner this year. And luxury liner Cunard also plans a Beatles-themed holiday in April.

Advance Grammy Festival at Sea spots can be can reserved now and sales open to the public February 28. The cruise sets sail from November 4-8.
