Come August 15, and Aamir Khan will return with an episode of his social issue-based reality show, Satyamev Jayate (SMJ) on Star Plus. The show officially ended on July 29 with Aamir revisiting all the issues discussed over the past 12 episodes.

However, in order to discuss the impact that the show has had, the TV network has decided to shoot another special, concluding episode. This episode will put forth a record of how the television series managed to raise social issues and initiate nation-wide debates, with just 13 weeks of air time. This last episode is titled Satyamev Jayate Ka Safar. “The show focussed on compelling stories that raised the bar for television programming. With the kind of feedback we received, we felt that it was important to thank our viewers for their support and participation.” says Uday Shankar, CEO Star India.

Actor-host Aamir shot for the special episode just a few days before leaving for the US to shoot his upcoming film, Dhoom 3. “This special episode will be the best way to bid farewell to the first season,” concludes Uday.
