Buzz is that after DPL for Sony Entertainment, Cineyug is on its way to producing four more shows, two of which are adapted formats, for leading channels, all of them expected to be as grand.
Mohammed Morani of Cineyug confirmed the news.
“All the four shows are on the floors but still in the nascent stages. But they’re all original and not adapted formats. We’re producing the shows for Colors, Star, Zee and maybe one more for Sony since we’ve developed a great relationship with them through DPL.”
When asked whether the shows would be dance reality shows, Morani would only say that they would be non-fiction shows but not all of them would revolve around dance.
“The idea is to produce different kind of non-fiction content for all the channels. If all of them were dance reality shows only, you wouldn’t be able to differentiate one from the other. There’s a lot more to explore in this territory,” points out Morani.
Will they be star-studded shows given that Cineyug has been organising Bollywood concerts across the globe and Morani says, “There will be stars but I can’t divulge names yet without confirmations.”
