Highlight Story

Akshay Kumar returns to kindergarten. Apart from performing his own stunts and lending his voice to the promotional music video, the actor is also reciting nursery rhymes in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season Four promos. Apparently, he not only initiated the idea, but also helped the show’s creative team frame the lines. The promos will be aired on Colors, the show’s broadcaster, days before it flags off.

The rhymes used are Humpty Dumpty, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Jack And Jill and Ringa Ringa Roses. The idea is to warn the participants about the dangerous stunts they will be commanded to perform on the show. Akshay recorded the remixed lines earlier this week and shot the promos last Wednesday. They will run simultaneously on radio stations and TV channels.

Seems like the show, unlike the previous three seasons, will air only on weekends, starting from June 3. Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 will air on the 9 pm slot on Fridays and Saturdays. Before Akshay, it was Preity Zinta’s Guinness World Records — Ab India Todega, and Bigg Boss, anchored in turn by Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, that have been aired on weekends on the same time slot.

AkshayTwo seasons of Chak Dhoom Dhoom and India’s Got Talent have also featured in the aforementioned time bracket. Ashvini Yardi, head of programming, Colors, reasons that it’s part of the channel’s plan to provide differential content on weekends. "Khatron Ke Khiladi, as a format, has always generated plenty of excitement. We are positive that the upcoming season will live up to the sky high expectations," she says. "We have slotted the show differently this time because we want to empower our weekend viewing."
