Priyanka Chopra has been at the gym everyday for the last two weeks, gearing up for a 20-day schedule of Khatron Ke Khiladi 3 in Brazil. “This line-up is better, we have an eclectic mix of participants. There’s a squash player, a film director, actors from the big and small screen, a choreographer and even a race car driver. Having only cricketers could have become monotonous,” she says.

Chosen ones
The chosen 13 are Angad Bedi, Rahul Bose, Rahul Dev, Milind Soman, Abhishek Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Cyrus Broacha, Manjot Singh, Armaan Ebrahim, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Terrence Lewis, Dino Morea and Ritwick Bhattacharya. PC would have liked to see Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in the line-up. “I’ve seen firsthand how courageous SRK is when we did Don. And Ranbir would have turned the show into a comic caper,” she laughs.

Priyanka ChopraShe confirms that it was her Drona producer, Shrishti Arya, who recommended her name to Colors programming head, Ashwini Yardi. "Shrishti called me in February-March asking if I was interested in hosting KKK. I agreed on the condition that I’d allot dates only in August. Ashwini agreed and the deal was sealed amicably," Chopra informs.

Well prepared
Will the stunts on KKK3 come in handy during Don 2 that takes off in October? “It’s actually the reverse. Practicising stunts for Don 2 has prepared me for KKK3. Today, I’m not afraid of anything, except failure. I can tear cockroaches apart and throw them out,” she smiles. While her dad is cool with her daredevilry, her mother, she admits, is petrified. “She has threatened to nanny me on the sets to ensure so that I don’t OD on the stunts,” she admits.

Quiz her on KKK’s
Previous host, Akshay Kumar, and she says, “He’s India’s answer to anything stunt-oriented. I watched him carefully during the last two seasons, He knows how to motivate his contestants and convince them that there is nothing to be afraid of,” observes Chopra. “When we did Aitraaz and Andaaz together, I was scared of so many things. He held my hand then too and encouraged me to give my best shot. Today, it’s time for me to hold someone else’s hand.”
