Soni Razdan had all the support from her daughters Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt when she decided to make a comeback on the tube with Love Ka Hai Intezaar. The actor-director, who last featured in Aisa Des Hai Mera 11 years ago, says that they encouraged her to take up the show because the plot was quite interesting.

“When I got the offer and shared the news with Shaheen and Alia, they got really excited. They told me, ‘Please go for it’ as they wanted me to face the camera again,” she smiles, before adding, “I found the plot appealing and relatable unlike many shows that you currently see on television. The treatment of the show is also different.” Soni says that her daughters and husband, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, plan to watch the show together whenever they get time.

However, Soni says that she doesn’t watch fiction shows on the small screen. “I frankly don’t watch TV shows that much. So, honestly, I don’t have much knowledge about it. I enjoy watching news and lifestyle channels. Cooking shows are also my favourite. I also watch a lot of films on Netflix,” says Soni, who has done films such as 36 Chowringhee Lane (1981), Ahista Ahista (1981) and Saaransh (1984).

Just before we all stuffed our faces. Oh dear 😮☺️

The actor shares that she has heard good reviews abound a few shows. “I have heard that P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke and 24 were good. And among the regular fiction shows, I got good reviews of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, starring Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor. I think TV, at times, is incredibly regressive, but I guess with the way few people are ready to experiment, the progressive streak has slowly crept in,” she says.
