Aman Verma, Amar Upadhyay to work together?

"They are both well-known in the television industry, and that’s why they were approached (for Jaya Bachchan's TV show). But there has been no other update on that front. Mrs Bachchan is looking into the matter; she has been discussing it with the team and will finalise names soon."

Jaya Bachchan’s upcoming fiction show on television has been gathering momentum.

Apparently, popular actors Aman Verma and Amar Upadhyay are being considered to play Jaya’s sons in the series.

A source close to the show says, “They are both well-known in the television industry, and that’s why they were approached. But there has been no other update on that front. Mrs Bachchan is looking into the matter; she has been discussing it with the team and will finalise names soon." The source adds, “Amar was interested as she (Jaya) had given him his first break. He was in consideration for the role of the middle son.”

HT Café had previously reported that popular TV actors have been vying for the roles and some have given auditions too. Now, news is that Jaya, who will make her television debut with the female-oriented show, is also taking interest in the casting.

The fiction show, apparently based on a Gujarati novel, will have Jaya in the role of a single parent who manages the entire family.
