Anushka Sharma is all over TV ads, and she has just landed another one. The actor has replaced Prachi Desai as the face of a brand of sanitary napkins produced by a Japan-based FMCG company. Anushka has been roped in for her “bubbly and vivacious personality and portrayal of strong characters” in movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl, say makers.The 24-year-old is excited about her association. “I’m keen to create a new era where all Indian women will take pride in being a woman,” Anushka said in a statement. She has also shot an ad for the brand. The actor is currently raking in about
Rs. 14crore every year thanks to her plum ad projects.
Prachi was named the brand ambassador for the same product in July 2011, an association that has now ended.
