Balika Vadhu’s leap is coincidental: Mahhi on playing Anandi’s daughter
Actor Mahhi Vij, who will be seen in TV show Balika Vadhu, which actor Pratyusha Banerjee was once a part of, says the show’s time leap has nothing to do with it being in the news right now.
Television show Balika Vadhu has been in the news recently due to the sudden death of actor Pratyusha Banerjee, who once played the role of lead character Anandi. The show will soon be undergoing a time leap, and actor Mahhi Vij, who will be playing the role of Anandi’s daughter Nimboli, says the timing is just coincidental.
“It’s just so happened that everything is taking place at the same time. This leap was planned months back and has nothing to do with what has happened now,” she says.

Mahhi, who was last seen in stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, will be seen in a fiction show after a break. “I was offered many shows during this time but I did not want to take them up. Whenever I would go for a narration, I would often come back and tell my husband ki mazaa nai aaya. I knew that those shows would not do well,” she says, adding, “But this is a long running show and has been successful for so many years. I was so excited to get to be a part of it and the minute I got to know, I was like ‘I have to do this show’.”
