BidaaiTop prime time daily soap, Sapnaa Babul Ka Bidaai, is ready for a eight-year-leap. Rajan Shahi’s production, which started three years ago on Star Plus, is currently one of the longest-running daily soaps on TV.

The buzz is that the leading ladies of the 9 pm show, Sara Khan, who plays Sadhna — the fair-skinned sister, and Parul Chauhan, who plays the dark-skinned sister, Ragini, will get pregnant together. Then one of them will disappear from the show for a considerable number of episodes and return in a new avatar.

According to our source from the production team, the missing sister will be Sara Khan. “None of the actors, scriptwriters or even the executive producers are aware of this. But the details have been worked out between top officials in the channel and the production house,” we’re informed.

There’s also a rumour floating around that one of the male leads, Kinshuk Mahajan, who plays Ranveer or Angad Hasija who plays Alekh, will also be bumped off in this series. “The one who goes will not return. New characters and tracks are being worked out,” adds the source. Rajan Shahi, the producer of the show, remained unavailable for comment.
