As Bigg Boss 5 beginsn contestants have their agendas clear:

Nihita Biswas: I will continue to defend my husband (Charles Sobhraj)
Serial killer Charles Sobhraj’s 22-year-old wife Nihita Biswas says that her husband supports her participation in the reality show. “He wants Indians to know more about me. I have nothing to hide. I live my life the way I want to. So I am ready to face any questions that the other inmates would have. I know that media reports have misled a lot of people about my husband. However, I will continue to defend him,” says the Nepali national, who reportedly married Sobhraj in a jail in Nepal in 2008.

She knows the show will be a challenge. “I’ve gone through a lot. People have seen me crying and fighting for my rights till now. I hope they will know me better through the show,” she says.

Laxmi Narayan Tripathi: It is time we change the mindset of people towards us
Celebrity LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi says that she decided to participate in the show to sensitise people towards the hijra community. “It is undoubtedly the biggest platform for my activism. I want to make people aware about the issues of our community,” says the 32-year-old.

She adds, “I’m proud to be a hijra and while I am on the show I would like to show the world that we’re also as human and as normal as everyone else. Hum sirf aashirwaad dene ke liye nahi hai,” she says. Tripathi adds that she wants to see whether the other celebrities on the show, who usually keep talking about equality in society, actually practice it or just say it to make an impression.

Pooja Bedi: The show will also help me know myself better
Actor-anchor Pooja Bedi wanted to participate in the show for long, but it did not materialise. “I have been offered the show previously, but due to some or the other reason, it didn’t work out. I am very excited to be here finally.” She adds, “I am a people’s person and I am not scared of cameras at all. So I am hoping that people will get to know the real Pooja, who is much more than a glamorous-looking woman.”

The 41-year-old has taken a wardrobe of designer clothes with her to flaunt on the show. “My friends are as excited as I am, so they helped me with a good collection of designer clothes.” She says that the only thing she is going to miss while in the Bigg Boss house would be “hugging and kissing her two children.”
