I am feeling on top of the world,” gushes actor Manasi Parekh Gohil after winning Zee TV’s singing reality show, Star Ya Rockstar. The 26-year-old actor says, “It’s an exhilarating feeling. But the fact is that I never thought I would ever win the show. My journey on the show has been wonderful. To be honest, I had apprehensions about the show initially.”

On being asked who she thought was her biggest competitor on the show, Manasi says, “It would be me. I always got good reviews from judges for my performance. That is why there was this pressure that I can’t let my performance go down. I had to be consistent and maintaining that consistency was tough.”

Sharing her views on TV reality shows such as Bigg Boss, she says, “To be honest, I am not that kind of person. I am a very positive person and do not like negativity or controversies around me. So, I don’t think I will ever do a Bigg Boss. Talent based reality shows work best for me.”

Manasi, who has been part of TV shows such as India Calling, Remote Control and Gulaal, says she’ll be very happy to release a music album of her own. “It would be great to produce a music album of my own. Let’s see when that happens.”

Talking about her upcoming projects, Manasi says, “I have many interesting offers coming my way. I will soon start working on a new show on Colors channel. Apart from that, I will be doing a musical play by Globe Theatre in London soon.”
