To ring in Karan Singh Grover’s 34th birthday, on February 23, the actor and his alleged girlfriend, Bipasha Basu, took off to Goa for a couple of days.
The duo often goes on vacations. They also love putting up photographs from their recent trips. When asked if they are perpetually vacationing, Karan says, “It might seem like that, but it is not true. I have been shooting for the song of my next film,” he says, adding, “But a birthday is incomplete without Goa. One needs to enjoy life too. Maybe I should post some pictures while working as well.” The actor also reveals that he doesn’t like big birthday celebrations.
Karan, who was last seen in Hate Story 3 (2015), has a few films lined up, and is also going to host a celebrity couple dance reality show. “Hosting will be fun, as I can be myself. I won’t have to compete with anyone on the show. I am open to acting on television if the project is interesting, and if I don’t need to shoot for 25 to 30 days a month. A mini-series would be fun,” he says.
His personal life has always drawn attention — be it his friendship with Bipasha or his divorce with ex-wife Jennifer Winget. Karan reveals that he is over his past. Ask him about the rumours around his divorce (reports speculating that the divorce was stuck because Jennifer demanded a higher alimony), and he says, “The way things pan out is in no one’s control. I want to say that all the rumours are false. I have put my past behind me. There was too much information [about the divorce] that was out there, which wasn’t needed. It was unfortunate.”
Rumours of Karan and Bipasha getting engaged soon are also doing the rounds. “That is not true. If anything like that happens, we will let everyone know,” he says, laughing.
Bipasha, it seems, showered the birthday boy with many gifts. “I got pencils — as I love to sketch, a cool jacket, video games, shades and other things. Lucky me,” he says.
