After a successful debut on the small screen, as the host of Guinness World Records — Ab India Todega, earlier this year, Preity Zinta will now be seen hosting her own chat show.
The 36-year-old actor, who was last seen on the big screen in an item song in Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Mr Aur Mrs Khanna (2009), is quite excited about her chat show titled: Up Close & Personal with PZ, which will go on air next month, on UTV Stars.
Read on as the dimpled beauty gets chatty about all things that matter to her.
On hosting her chat show
My chat show is a positive fun show with lots of surprises. My aim is to let viewers know
the real stars. And since these are people I’ve known for so long, the comfort level is great.
On favourite hosts
I love how Oprah Winfrey hosts her show. But, I believe that each host adds his or her personal touch to the show that he or she hosts. Closer home, Karan Johar and Simi Garewal are great.
On upcoming film projects
I’m working on my home production, Ishq In Paris, which is an Indo-French collaboration. Many announcements are to be made in the film’s regard. So, just wait and watch.
On returning to acting
I’m an actor first and at the end of the day, that’s what I love doing the most. I had been away because of my IPL commitments, but now I’m back and it feels awesome to do so.
On whether she is seeing anyone?
To be very honest, I am not seeing anyone at the moment. But yes, if I ‘see’ people, I don’t keep my eyes closed (laughs).
