Heath Ledger must be turning in his grave right now.
In the latest episode of C.I.D, telecast on Sony Entertainment Television on Friday, the antagonist/villain happened to be an Indian version of 'The Joker'.Not only did he paint his face white and wore a gruesome scar, his dialogues were a direct rip-off from the Batman movies. "I used to cry a lot as a kid. To teach me a lesson, my father put his fingers inside my mouth and stretched my lips apart. Since then I have been smiling."
This is just one example of the jibe the 'CID Joker' took on the 'Batman joker'.
CID - CID Mien Singham - Episode 1112 - 8...by informationaltech
The Joker is the arch-nemesis of Batman and over the years we've has seen some brilliant actors portray the maniac -- the most acclaimed ones being Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson.
Heath Ledger died after filming The Dark Knight and has left such an indelible mark and legacy that any actor who portrays the Joker will always be compared to his character.

But what CID did on Friday was a cheap mockery of a 'legend'. In an attempt to potray the villain as evil, he uses dialogues like "I love blood" and "Red is my favourite colour" to terrify his goons.
The episode was meant to be a promotional activity for Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor-starrer Singham Returns, where Inspector Bajirao Singham teams up with the CID team to investigate corruption charges against DCP Chirole.
All the regular characters seemed to share great chemistry with Singham, and there were some interesting twists and turns aimed at highlighting Singham's utter disregard for corruption and corrupt officials.
But CID should in the future avoid biting off more than they can chew.
