The promos of Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo are already on air on Imagine. Writer and co-producer, Rakesh Paswan, had earlier offered the daily to Colors but eventually, settled for a prime time slot on Imagine.

“It’s the true that the show was first offered to Colors when I was working with the channel. It’s writer Rakesh Paswan’s concept and he had approached us with it. The channel had shown initial interest but didn’t get back for over a year. Later, when I switched channels, Paswan returned to me and was okay with the idea of premiering on Imagine,” says Saurabh Tewary, head of fiction programming, Imagine.

It’s also said that Paswan was expected to co-produce the show with Hemal Thakkar, the producer of the Colors prime time show, Laagi Tujhse Lagan. But Thakkar pulled out after the channel put pressure on him to focus on Laagi Tujhse Lagan, whose ratings have picked up lately.

Let bygones be
To this, Tewary replies, “It’s not fair for me to comment on this. Now that the show is going on air on Monday, we should let bygones be bygones.”

Buzz is that Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo revolves around finding a match for a 3.5-foot girl, Bharati, born and brought up in well-to-do family.

Tewary refused to comment on this. He even refused to let out any stills featuring his ‘different’ heroine or even reveal her name.

When prodded, all he would say is, “Yes, there is a ‘little’ girl in our show who holds Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo together. To know more, you’ll have to wait for four more days.”
