Highlight Story

After his much-criticised anti-Pakistan stance last year on Ek Se Badhkar Ek, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya returns as judge on a reality show. He had walked out of the Zee weekender after objecting to Pakistan national, Mussarat Abbas, who was Sanober Kabir’s partner. He did come back, though. <b1>

Clear contract
This time, Bhattacharya has made it clear in his contract that there will be no guest judge or contestant from Pakistan. “How can we receive artistes from a country which is always out to trouble us,” he asks.

Bhattacharya says he’ll only be a part of musical shows in which all the judges are singers: “Some reality show judges tell contestants that they performed better than the original singer.. how is that possible?”

He adds,“I blame the parents who drive their children out of school and college to Mumbai.. they will be better known in their own homes than Mumbai which is teeming with singers.”
