Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the most sacred month of the Muslim year and a period of obligatory fasting.

From sharing their plans of celebrations to wishing fans on the occasion, TV actors share their thoughts with Hindustan Times.

Shubhangi Atre: For Eid celebrations, I’ll be visiting my friends and enjoying the yummy cuisine. For all my fans and friends close to my heart, I hug them with my prayers. May Allah’s peace be with you. Eid Mubarak!

Iqbal Khan: Eid is the day one decides to live a life without sins. We are all humans but we got to try our level best, like how we control our anger, food, language, behaviour, etc. Eid is the day to decide that we are going to live like how we lived in Ramzan for the rest of our lives, but this time, with eating as well.

Kamya Punjabi: Eid is a wonderful festive occasion to pray, care, love, smile and celebrate and to thank Allah for giving us this wonderful life. Eid Mubarak!

Nausheen Ali Sardar: Ramzan Eid is my favourite festival. My entire family fasts and I fast on some of the days. I have a list of sheer korma orders from my friends. My mom wakes up early in the morning each year, cuts the dry fruits and starts the preparation for this sweet dish and biriyani. It is a joyous day. May Allah bless everyone! Eid Mubarak!

Kunal Jaisingh: On Eid-ul-Fitr, wish that Allah’s blessings light up the path and lead to happiness, peace and success. Eid Mubarak!

Niti Taylor: When the moon of Eid arises, it makes all of us so happy and excited. May everyone’s time be full of such an amusing excitement and happiness. Eid Mubarak!

Manish Goplani: Eid days are meant to celebrate the goals and the achievements that make you happiest, the ideals you believe in, the dream you love the best. Eid Mubarak!

Sara Khan: I wish that today will be the happiest day in everyone’s lives, and fill every life with happiness and joy. Eid Mubarak to all!

Manu Punjabi: On this holy and joyous occasion, may the blessings of almighty Allah come down to us and spread peace, love and treasure and may you enjoy a very happy Eid. Eid Mubarak!

Tejasswi Prakash: May the noor of this Eid illuminate your heart, mind, soul, and may all your prays be answered. Remember me in your prayers. Eid Mubarak!

Mahika Sharma: Here comes the day, once in a blue moon, with chanda mama shining up bright and blessing everyone, its love so tender, merciful, shining down on the earth, wishing us. Eid Mubarak!

Akshay Mhatre: The best of all gifts around any Eid is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. Everyday, there’s iftaar set up in the evening on the sets wherein everyone eats together, and I enjoyed it too much. Eid Mubarak!

Amrapalli Gupta: Prayers and blessings on this very special occasion of Eid. I wish all my fans and friends happiness and blessings of Eid surrounded by those you love. Eid Mubarak!

Hiba Nawab: This time, I am excited as my father will be in town and I am looking forward to celebrating the occasion with him. Though Eid has always been a close-knit family affair for me, this year I am looking forward to celebrating Eid on the sets of Bhaag Bakool Bhaag with my ‘reel’ family and my lovely co-stars. I have planned to cook delicious sheer-korma for the entire crew of the show so that they can enjoy this delicacy on the auspicious day of Eid.

Ayub Khan: I have always looked forward to celebrate Eid every year with my family, but often due to professional commitments I haven’t been able to make it. This year, I want to take my daughters on a holiday and celebrate and enjoy the festivities of Eid in an extremely close and special way with them because that is what Eid means to me.

Sehban Azim: I haven’t been able to celebrate Eid with my family for the past two years. So I am expecting the celebrations to be grand, especially because I will be home for three days. I also plan to spend time with my mom, take her shopping and out for a good dinner. I can’t wait to be back home and celebrate Eid with my loved ones.
