Two actors, both extremely popular with the masses, will be sharing the stage soon. Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi will make an appearance together for the Bigg Boss 6 finale, and in keeping with the subject of the latter’s upcoming film titled Ek Thi Daayan, he will be discussing daayans (witches) with the host.
Emraan Hashmi is excited about meeting the Dabangg star. He says, “I’m looking forward to our first proper interaction and it’s the grand finale, so it will be fun.” The Dirty Picture (2012) actor says that he has met Salman before “on just one or two occasions”. “We said a cordial hello, but we didn’t get a chance to chat. I was looking forward to meeting him the last time I went to Bigg Boss for the promotion of my last release, but then I only met Sanjay Dutt,” says Emraan.
Will we get to see Emraan shake a leg at the finale? “No, because that isn’t my forte. I plan to stick to the theme of our film. It deals with supernatural elements and magic. And I play a magician in it,” says the actor.
Elaborating on their forthcoming discussion, Emraan adds, “In our film, we deal with two distinct kinds of daayans. One is a very beautiful woman and the other one is the scary bhayanak (terrifying) one. And I’ve seen the vulnerable and scary side of women too.” He adds, “I’ve worked with all the beautiful women in the industry. I don’t know if that qualifies them to be daayans. In that sense, I have interacted with daayans, as many women have an intense and volatile side to them, but the only difference is that their feet aren’t bent backwards.”
Ask him about the reports that compare his career graph to that of Salman’s for his choice of films, and he says, “It’s a huge honour. I hold him in high esteem and respect him. He’s a great human being and that goes a long way in the industry.”
