The strike by film industry workers has ended.
Producer Rajan Shahi is relieved but wary. Shahi who produces Star Plus’ Sapna Baabul ka.. Bidaai, says the repercussions of the strike will become obvious over the next week. “Some of the decisions which have been taken aren’t convenient for television producers,” he states. But right now, he’s worried about a shoot.
Shahi is in Agra to shoot a Taj Mahotsav sequence, which marks the culmination of a romantic track in the daily. Hema Malini makes a special appearance. Parul Chauhan and Kinshuk Mahajan who are phone-lovers are to meet upfront during the festival.
Hema Malini is the chief guest at the function where Chauhan is to perform. “Hemaji gives a word of advice to Parul who is worried about her dance.. and boosts her confidence,” says Shahi.
The producer hasn’t had a chance to interact with La Malini yet but his unit has given her DVDs of Bidaai episodes. “She didn’t want to take it on without knowing what we were all about,” explains Shahi.
The sequence with Hema Malini was to be shot on Sunday and will be aired by the end of this week. Will it stop at the climax on Thursday night, forcing viewers to switch on to the show again next Monday? Shahi hopes so.
