Former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan booked for sending lewd messages to model

Actor Ajaz Khan of Bigg Boss fame has been booked by Versova police for allegedly sending messages to a model insulting her modesty.

According to Versova police, the 25-year-old model approached them with a complaint against the actor after which an FIR was registered on Tuesday.

Quoting Aishwarya Choubey’s complaint, police said Khan allegedly sent her his objectionable photo, which she later deleted. She has claimed that Khan sent her vulgar messages on a popular messaging platform.

Kiran Kale, a senior inspector with the Versova police station, said, “We have registered an FIR under Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act insulting the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

The actor has been asked to be present before the police station at the earliest.

Choubey had approached Versova police and submitted her complaint, following which an FIR was registered against the actor. In her letter, the starlet said this was not a publicity stunt and that she was lodging the complaint to “expose” Khan.

While attempts to reach Ajaz went unanswered, the actor posted a video on his Facebook where does not mention the case directly but alleges that media should avoid running stories on mere controversies.

Police have summoned Khan who has not been arrested so far.
